This full-time job requires operating and optimizing PACE packaging machinery, particularly for the packaging of potato chips using nitrogen flushing technology. Candidates should be ready and willing to supervise and direct others, maintaining high production and safety standards while tackling daily challenges on the production floor.
Daily Responsibilities and Tasks
As Packaging Operator, you’ll ensure smooth operation of packaging equipment, oversee primary and secondary packaging, monitor team output, and minimize downtime throughout shifts.
You’ll take the lead on quality assurance activities, ensure compliance with safety and food standards, and manage sanitation procedures in the production area as part of your day-to-day workload.
The job involves frequent communication with different departments including production, maintenance, and management to resolve issues and keep production goals on track.
You’ll participate in ongoing process improvements, handle necessary documentation, and use problem-solving skills to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and uphold all regulatory standards.
Flexibility is needed too: occasionally you may need to lift up to 20kg, cover weekends or off-shifts, and operate additional equipment like forklifts as necessary.
