Join DoorDash as a Delivery Driver in Tempe, where you'll be responsible for delivering food to customers and ensuring their orders are accurate.
What Customers Say
Many drivers appreciate the flexible schedule but express concerns about variable earnings and the physical demands of the job.
Expert Review
The position offers significant flexibility, allowing drivers to choose their own hours. This makes it appealing for those balancing other commitments. However, pay can fluctuate based on orders and tips, which is a critical factor to consider.
Drivers should be prepared for some physical demands, including the need to lift and carry food orders. The role requires a reliable vehicle, and costs like gas and maintenance can eat into earnings.
Customer service is key; drivers are often rated by customers, which can impact future orders. While DoorDash provides training, understanding the app's functionality and local delivery areas is crucial to maximize efficiency and earnings.
According to DoorDash's site (https://www.talent.com/redirect), drivers can earn competitive pay, but that this varies widely. Those who work during peak hours often see higher earnings due to increased demand and tipping.
This role is not recommended for individuals who need a stable income or who are uncomfortable with the variability in hours and earnings. The best candidates are those who thrive on flexibility and can effectively manage their time and resources.
