The opportunity to work in a beautiful coastal location is appealing, but the on-site requirement may deter those seeking remote flexibility. If you’re fluent in German and enjoy customer service, this could be a great fit.
About this role
Join an international online retail project as a German-Speaking Customer Service Consultant in Umhlanga, supporting customers in German and English.
What Customers Say
Feedback from current employees highlights a supportive work environment but mentions the challenges of commuting to the on-site location.
Expert Review
This position for its location in Umhlanga, a popular coastal area near Durban, appealing to those who enjoy a beachside lifestyle. Working as a German-Speaking Customer Service Consultant for VelenosiMeredith means engaging with customers in both German and English, which can provide a rewarding experience for multilingual professionals.
However, potential applicants should note that this is not a remote role, which may limit opportunities for those who prefer work-from-home arrangements. The company’s focus on bilingual support highlights the need for strong communication skills in both languages, specifically at a B2-C2 level.
While the role offers a chance to join an international team, the requirement for on-site presence could be a drawback for many candidates. According to the official job listing, the start date is set for April/May, making it essential for interested individuals to prepare for a timely application.
