Expert Review
Delivering with DoorDash can be a great side hustle, especially in urban areas where demand for food delivery is high. Drivers appreciate the flexibility to choose their own hours, making it convenient for students or those with other commitments. However, earnings are not guaranteed and can vary significantly depending on location and time of day.
According to the company's site, drivers can earn more during peak hours, but this may not always be predictable.
Customer service for drivers has received mixed reviews, with some reporting difficulties in resolving issues quickly. It's essential to be aware that vehicle maintenance costs can eat into your profits, especially if you drive frequently. The platform also lacks certain benefits like health insurance for drivers, which may be a concern for some.
If you're considering joining, evaluating your local market demand is crucial. Some areas may offer better earning opportunities than others. Overall, DoorDash can be for those looking to supplement their income, but it may not be suitable for everyone due to the unpredictability of earnings.
