The opportunity for flexible hours and competitive pay makes this position appealing for many. However, potential drivers should consider the costs associated with using their own vehicle.
About this role
Amazon Flex Delivery Drivers use their own vehicles to deliver packages to customers during scheduled blocks, following routes via the Amazon Flex app.
What Customers Say
Drivers appreciate the flexibility and pay but often mention the challenges of covering vehicle-related costs.
Expert Review
This delivery role with Amazon Flex provides a unique opportunity for those looking to work on their own schedule. Drivers earn between $18 and $25 per hour, which is competitive compared to similar gigs. However, it's essential to account for vehicle-related expenses like gas and maintenance, which can quickly eat into profits.
The Amazon Flex app simplifies the delivery process, guiding drivers through their routes. Still, the reality of inconsistent delivery blocks and earnings can lead to unpredictable income. While the job's flexibility is a significant draw, the lack of guaranteed hours means drivers may find themselves with fewer deliveries during slower periods.
Our editorial team noted that without a steady stream of packages, earnings can vary significantly week to week. As such, this position may not be suitable for those needing a reliable full-time income. For more details about the role, check Amazon Flex's official page here.
