For those seeking flexible work, this opportunity is appealing; however, the use of personal vehicles can lead to wear and tear costs. It's best for individuals comfortable with physical tasks and self-management.
About this role
As an Amazon Flex Delivery Driver, you'll use your vehicle to deliver packages to customers following routes provided in the Amazon Flex app.
What Customers Say
Reviews from drivers highlight the flexibility and earning potential, but also point out the physical demands and vehicle-related expenses.
Expert Review
Many delivery drivers appreciate the freedom that comes with working for Amazon Flex. The ability to choose your hours can be a major advantage for those juggling other responsibilities. However, potential drivers should consider the hidden costs of using their own vehicle, such as gas and maintenance.
Pay ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, but this can fluctuate based on the number of deliveries completed during a block. The Amazon Flex app facilitates route planning, though some drivers report it can occasionally lead to inefficient routes, impacting delivery times.
Customer service experiences vary; during peak times, getting support can be challenging. Drivers have noted that the workload can be heavy, especially during busy seasons. This role is not recommended for those who prefer a fixed income or need consistent hours, as work can be sporadic.
According to Amazon Flex's page, drivers can earn while working around their schedules, but it's important to weigh the pros and cons before signing up.
