The ability to keep all customer tips is a major draw, especially for drivers who can work peak hours. However, earnings depend heavily on demand and location, which may not be stable.
About this role
Join DoorDash as a delivery driver and earn extra cash while keeping 100% of customer tips. Enjoy the flexibility of being your own boss.
What Customers Say
Drivers appreciate the flexibility and tip retention, but many express concerns over income variability and associated costs.
Expert Review
DoorDash offers a unique opportunity for those seeking flexible work with a potential for decent earnings. The appeal of keeping 100% of customer tips can significantly enhance a driver's paycheck, especially during peak times. Drivers can also set their schedules, good fit for students or those with other commitments.
However, income is not guaranteed and can vary widely based on location and delivery demand. On busier nights, drivers may earn more, but slower periods can result in lower pay. It's essential to factor in costs like gas, vehicle maintenance, and insurance, which can quickly add up.
Customer service experiences with DoorDash vary, with some drivers reporting delays in support during peak times. While the app is generally user-friendly, it can sometimes encounter glitches that hinder efficient delivery. Overall, DoorDash is for those who thrive in a gig economy but comes with the caveat of fluctuating income.
