The flexibility of being a Dasher is appealing for those needing part-time work, but the lack of guaranteed income can make it unpredictable. For full-time income seekers, this may not be the best fit.
About this role
Join DoorDash as a Dasher and enjoy flexible earning opportunities with food delivery and pickup in Elmwood Park.
What Customers Say
Workers appreciate the flexible hours but express concerns about income variability and lack of support.
Expert Review
Many users find the flexibility of DoorDash appealing, allowing them to choose when and how much they work. This adaptability is for those balancing other commitments.
However, that earnings can vary widely. While some Dashers report making a good income, others experience slow periods where earnings dip significantly. During peak hours, tips can boost income, but they aren't guaranteed.
Customer service can also be hit or miss, with some Dashers noting difficulty in getting timely support for issues. The app is user-friendly, but occasional glitches can lead to frustrating experiences.
With no employee benefits, Dashers are essentially independent contractors. This means they bear the costs of vehicle maintenance and gas, which can add up quickly. As a result, those seeking long-term, stable income should explore other job options.
According to DoorDash's page, there's no cap on earnings, but be ready for the realities of gig work, which often lacks the security of traditional employment.
