For those seeking a side gig with flexible hours, being a Dasher can be appealing. However, earnings can fluctuate significantly based on demand.

What Customers Say
Workers appreciate the flexibility but often mention inconsistent earnings and challenges with customer support.
Expert Review
The Dasher role at DoorDash offers a unique opportunity for flexible employment, allowing individuals to set their own schedules. Unlike traditional jobs, Dashers can work as much or as little as they want, which is appealing for many.
Earnings vary significantly based on location and time of day. During peak hours, Dashers can earn more per delivery, but off-peak times might yield lower earnings. Our team found that in competitive markets, this job can be lucrative, but in quieter areas, it may not provide a steady income.
The app itself is intuitive, making it easy to track deliveries and manage your schedule. However, there can be challenges with customer service, particularly when dealing with difficult customers or app issues. Some Dashers report frustration with long wait times for support.
Overall, this position works best for those who are self-motivated and can handle the unpredictability of delivery work. If your area has high demand, you could maximize your earnings, but potential Dashers should be prepared for a learning curve and the realities of gig work.
