While the hourly rate is appealing, the job requires using your own vehicle, which could lead to unexpected expenses. This is for those seeking flexible work but may not suit everyone.
About this role
Amazon Flex Delivery Drivers use their own vehicles to deliver packages during scheduled blocks, picking up from local delivery stations.
What Customers Say
Workers appreciate the flexibility of the job but note that vehicle maintenance and fuel costs can add up quickly.
Expert Review
We found that Amazon Flex offers a promising pay range of $18-$25 per hour, which can be appealing for those looking for flexible work. However, drivers must remember that all vehicle-related expenses are their responsibility. This can cut into earnings, especially during busy delivery times.
The Amazon Flex app provides users with route navigation, making deliveries easier to manage. Yet, competition for scheduling can be fierce, with peak times potentially leading to more earnings but also more wear on your vehicle.
For those without a reliable vehicle or who are not comfortable with the associated costs, this job may not be the best fit. Pay attention to how scheduling works and consider potential downtime during slower periods. According to Amazon Flex's site, drivers are encouraged to manage their hours effectively to maximize earnings.
