Expert Review
The role at UPS requires workers to handle packages in a busy environment, making it physically challenging. Workers should be ready to lift heavy items and stay on their feet for long periods. This position is perfect for those looking to gain experience in logistics and earn a competitive wage.
UPS offers a solid starting pay of $21+ per hour, which is attractive for entry-level jobs. The company promotes from within, providing opportunities for career advancement. However, it's important to consider that the fast-paced nature of the work can be overwhelming for some.
While the pay is a major draw, potential applicants should be aware of the physical demands. The job may not be suitable for everyone, especially those not accustomed to manual labor. According to UPS's hiring page, full-time roles are available, but shift hours can be unpredictable, impacting personal schedules.
