Expert Review
The Shipt personal shopper role presents an appealing opportunity for those who enjoy shopping and want flexible hours. Unlike traditional retail jobs, Shipt allows you to set your own schedule, making it convenient for students or anyone with other commitments.
However, the income can fluctuate significantly based on demand and the number of available orders. This means that some weeks may yield great earnings, while others might be slower. According to Shipt's official site, shoppers can earn up to $22 per hour, including tips, but this isn't guaranteed.
applicants need a reliable vehicle and must navigate local traffic, which can be a drawback for some. Customer service is key, as shoppers are expected to communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they receive the correct items.
Overall, Shipt is a great fit for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable with the unpredictability of gig work. It's not recommended for those seeking a stable, predictable income or who do not enjoy a retail environment.
