Expert Review
Finding a job at Amazon can be a great opportunity for those looking to enter the retail industry. The pay range of $17-$23/hr is competitive for entry-level positions, particularly in the Sanford area. However, it's essential to recognize that the work can be demanding, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Employees handle various tasks from selecting items to packing orders, which can be tiring. Our team found that while many appreciate the career advancement opportunities, the shift hours might not suit everyone. Some workers report challenges with long hours on their feet and the pressure to meet high productivity standards.
In terms of workplace culture, Amazon promotes a team-oriented environment, which can foster camaraderie among workers. The company also offers employee discounts, adding value to the job. However, potential applicants should consider whether they are comfortable with the physicality of the role before applying.
