About this role

What Customers Say
Workers generally appreciate the flexibility but often mention inconsistent earnings as a significant downside.
Expert Review
The DoorDash Dasher program presents a unique opportunity for flexible employment in New York. With the ability to choose your own hours, Dashers can work around their schedules, ppealing for students or those with other jobs.
However, earnings can be unpredictable. While some Dashers report making a decent hourly wage during peak times, others may struggle during slower periods. The company has also implemented various incentives and bonuses to encourage delivery during busy hours.
It's essential to consider vehicle-related costs, as Dashers are responsible for their own maintenance and fuel. This can eat into earnings, especially if you're delivering in areas with high traffic or parking challenges.
According to DoorDash's page, daily payout options provide a significant advantage for those needing immediate cash flow. Yet, the independent contractor status means limited benefits and protections, which might not suit everyone.
Overall, while DoorDash can be flexible work, potential Dashers should weigh the pros and cons carefully, especially regarding income stability and expenses involved in the delivery process.
