This role provides a solid entry point into Amazon's workforce, especially for those seeking flexible hours and a chance to grow. However, the demanding nature of warehouse work may not suit everyone.
About this role
Amazon seeks Warehouse Shopper Team Members to select, pack, and prepare customer orders for delivery in their fulfillment centers.
Expert Review
This warehouse role at Amazon is designed for individuals eager to engage in a dynamic work setting. The hourly pay, ranging from $17 to $23, is quite competitive for entry-level positions, particularly in White Bear Lake. Employees will be responsible for picking and packing items, which requires both speed and accuracy.
The job offers flexible scheduling, making it suitable for students or those with other commitments. However, the physical demands of the role should not be underestimated. Workers often report fatigue from long shifts, especially in a fast-paced environment.
Advancement opportunities are a plus, with many employees moving up to supervisory positions. Amazon's reputation for promoting from within is a strong incentive. Overall, while the pay and benefits are attractive, potential applicants should consider their comfort with physical labor and high workloads before applying.
