DoorDash offers a convenient way to earn extra income, but the inconsistent pay may not suit everyone.
About this role
As a Dasher with DoorDash, you can work flexible hours and earn money delivering food and goods to customers in your area.
What Customers Say
Workers appreciate the flexibility, but some express concerns about fluctuating earnings and expenses.
Expert Review
If you're looking for a flexible job, DoorDash's Dasher program allows you to choose when and where you work. The company is popular across the U.S. and offers numerous delivery opportunities.
Earnings, however, can fluctuate based on location and demand. Some drivers report making as little as $10 per hour during slow times, which may not cover expenses like gas and vehicle maintenance. Customer ratings also play a role; low ratings can impact your delivery opportunities and earnings.
While it's an accessible way to earn money, potential drivers should consider if the flexibility outweighs the income variability. According to DoorDash's page, this role does not require previous experience, ppealing for those entering the gig economy. Overall, it caters best to individuals who thrive on flexibility and are comfortable with the unpredictability of gig work.
