The opportunity to work with children and assist in their footwear needs is appealing, especially for those looking for part-time work. However, casual hours may not provide stable income for everyone.
About this role
Join Shoes & Sox as a Casual Retail Sales Assistant, helping kids find the perfect shoes and providing excellent customer service.
What Customers Say
Employees appreciate the friendly atmosphere but note the unpredictable hours typical of casual retail positions.
Expert Review
If you're passionate about children’s footwear, this role at Shoes & Sox offers a unique opportunity. The casual nature of the position allows for flexibility, making it suitable for students or those with other commitments. However, the casual employment model means hours can fluctuate significantly, which might not provide a reliable income.
Customer interactions are at the heart of this role. Employees are expected to engage with children and parents alike, offering guidance on fitting shoes properly. This focus on customer service is great for those who enjoy building rapport with families but may be challenging for those less confident in sales.
While the environment is enjoyable, potential applicants should consider the long-term prospects. Casual roles often lack clear pathways for advancement and job security. Interested candidates can find more details on the official page at Shoes & Sox.
