What Customers Say
Workers appreciate the flexibility but often mention inconsistent earnings and vehicle-related costs.
Expert Review
The DoorDash Shopper role offers significant flexibility for those looking to earn extra income. With the ability to choose your own hours, this position suits students or anyone with variable schedules. However, earnings can be inconsistent, heavily influenced by location and demand.
Drivers in urban areas may see higher earnings compared to those in rural regions.
The potential to earn more during peak times, such as weekends, is a significant plus, but it's important to factor in vehicle expenses and fuel costs that can eat into profits. Customer service support is limited, especially during busy hours, which can lead to frustrations when issues arise.
While DoorDash provides a app for managing deliveries, some users have reported technical glitches. Overall, this role is appealing for self-motivated individuals who can handle variable income and enjoy the freedom of being their own boss. According to DoorDash’s page, Shoppers can earn based on their activity level, making it essential to stay active to maximise earnings.
