The strong annual pay range is appealing for local delivery drivers, but the early hours and long routes may not suit everyone. Ideal for those prioritizing home time over flexibility.

What Customers Say
Workers generally appreciate the pay and benefits but mention the challenging early hours and physical demands of the job.
Expert Review
This delivery driver role at Performance Foodservice offers a significant annual pay range of $80,000 to $90,000, ppealing for experienced drivers. The Monday through Friday schedule provides a sense of stability, especially with home daily routes, which is a key selling point for many in the industry.
Despite the attractive pay and benefits package—including Day 1 health benefits and 401K matching—the job demands long hours, often between 12 to 13 hours per shift. Early dispatch times can be a deterrent for those who prefer a more conventional work schedule.
Customer service and support from Performance Foodservice is generally well-regarded, which can be when addressing job-related concerns. Yet, the physically demanding nature of the job should not be underestimated, as drivers must manage heavy loads and stay alert on the road.
while this position is excellent for drivers who prioritize home time and competitive pay, it may not be suitable for everyone due to the demanding hours and early start times. For more details, visit Performance Foodservice's job posting page here.
