Expert Review
Entering the logistics field with UPS can be a rewarding experience, especially with a starting pay of $21+/hr. This rate is competitive compared to other warehouse positions in the area. The company emphasizes teamwork, which can be beneficial for those who thrive in collaborative environments.
However, potential employees should be aware of the physically demanding nature of the role. Responsibilities include unloading and sorting packages, which can be strenuous. The fast-paced environment might not be suitable for everyone, especially those looking for a less demanding job.
While there are opportunities for career advancement within UPS, those seeking remote work or flexible hours should consider the limitations of warehouse roles. According to UPS's employment page, many positions require a commitment to on-site work and specific shift schedules. For individuals prioritizing a stable job with a reputable company, this role can be a solid choice.
