The role at UPS provides solid hourly wages, appealing to those seeking entry-level positions in logistics. However, the job's physicality may deter some applicants.
About this role
UPS is hiring Warehouse Workers/Package Handlers to sort, load, and unload packages in a fast-paced environment, earning $21+/hr.
Expert Review
UPS offers an attractive starting wage of $21+/hr, competitive option for entry-level workers. The job involves unloading packages, sorting them, and preparing them for delivery, which can be quite strenuous. Flexible scheduling is a plus, as it allows for work-life balance.
The company has a reputation for stability, but job advancement may be limited for those starting in these roles. Workers often report that the physical demands can be overwhelming, especially during peak seasons. According to UPS's page, they prioritize teamwork, which can foster a supportive work environment.
Potential applicants should weigh the physicality of the job against their comfort levels. This position is a good fit for those who thrive in active settings and are looking for consistent hours. If you prefer a desk job, this role may not be the right choice.
