Ideal for those seeking part-time work, but not for individuals relying on a steady income.
About this role
Join DoorDash as a delivery driver and earn extra cash with a flexible schedule. Deliver meals, groceries, and retail orders to customers in your area.
What Customers Say
Drivers appreciate the flexibility but often mention fluctuating earnings and the challenges of traffic and delivery times.
Expert Review
DoorDash offers a flexible delivery option that appeals to many looking to supplement their income. With the ability to choose your own hours, it caters well to those with busy schedules. However, earnings can fluctuate based on the time of day and location, which can be a challenge for those relying on consistent income.
In Gurnee, drivers can expect to deliver food but also groceries and retail items, increasing the potential for varied earnings. The lack of a minimum work hour requirement allows drivers to work as little or as much as they want, fitting deliveries around other commitments. Yet, it’s important to note that vehicle maintenance costs can eat into profits, especially for those driving frequently.
Customer feedback highlights the reliability of the app, but some drivers report frustrations with traffic and order delays. While DoorDash is flexibility, it may not be ideal for those seeking a traditional, stable job with guaranteed hours.
