Expert Review
The Security Officer role at Publix offers a competitive salary ranging from $35K to $49K annually. This position is not remote, requiring on-site presence in Dacula, Georgia. The focus is on maintaining security protocols, which involves significant responsibility in guarding assets and managing access control.
Candidates can expect a year-end bonus, which adds value to the overall compensation package. However, the role's demands, including handling various incidents and ensuring safety, can be challenging, particularly during late-night hours. It is designed for individuals who thrive in structured environments and have strong observational skills.
Our editorial team notes that while the job provides essential experience in security, upward mobility might be limited for entry-level positions. Those seeking a career in security or law enforcement may need to consider additional training or certifications for advancement. Overall, this role is best suited for those specifically interested in overnight security work and who can handle the physical demands that come with it.
