Expert Review
Shipt offers a unique opportunity for those looking to earn extra income through grocery delivery. Unlike traditional jobs, this role allows you to set your own hours, making it ideal for students or those with other commitments. However, the requirement of having your own vehicle and insurance can be a significant barrier for some candidates.
The app experience is generally user-friendly, allowing for easy order management. However, be aware that income can be unpredictable, particularly during slower shopping hours. This variability may not suit those seeking a steady paycheck.
Our team also found that while the flexibility is a major draw, the physical demands of the job—such as lifting and loading groceries—shouldn't be overlooked. Shipt's marketplace connects you to a diverse array of local stores, allowing you to shop for a variety of products.
According to Shipt's official page, drivers can earn based on the number of deliveries they complete, which can lead to significant income during peak shopping hours. Overall, if you enjoy shopping and have a reliable vehicle, this role could be a good fit, just be mindful of the potential for fluctuating earnings and vehicle-related expenses.
