The pay range is competitive for gig work, especially for those looking for flexibility. However, drivers should consider vehicle maintenance costs and the unpredictability of delivery hours.
About this role

What Customers Say
Many drivers appreciate the flexibility and earning potential, but some express concerns about vehicle costs and inconsistent work availability.
Expert Review
Many drivers enjoy the flexibility Amazon Flex provides, allowing them to set their own hours. Pay rates ranging from $18 to $25 per hour can be attractive for those needing extra cash. However, this gig requires drivers to bear the costs of vehicle maintenance and fuel.
One key consideration is the inconsistency in delivery volume. Some drivers report busy days, while others find fewer available shifts. This unpredictability can affect overall earnings and may require planning for off-peak times.
Drivers should also note that as independent contractors, benefits like health insurance or paid time off are not included. This means drivers need to manage their own expenses and benefits, which can be a downside for those seeking stability in their work.
The app used for navigation is generally user-friendly, but drivers must be comfortable with technology and adapting to new routes quickly. Overall, Amazon Flex is for those who prioritize flexibility and are willing to manage the associated costs.
