Expert Review
If you're looking for a side gig that offers flexibility, being a Dasher with DoorDash could be a fit. The company allows you to choose when and how much you work, making it ideal for students or those with other commitments. But keep in mind that earnings can vary significantly depending on location and peak hours.
According to DoorDash's site, drivers can earn money from deliveries but also through tips. However, be aware that the lack of guaranteed minimum earnings means some weeks may be more profitable than others. Vehicle maintenance costs are another consideration, as you're responsible for any expenses incurred while delivering.
This role does not require prior experience, which makes it accessible to many. Yet, the gig economy can be unpredictable, so it might not suit those looking for stable, consistent income. Overall, we recommend it for those who can manage their time effectively and are comfortable with the variable nature of gig work.
