What Customers Say
Many Dashers appreciate the flexibility but express concerns about inconsistent earnings and the costs of vehicle maintenance.
Expert Review
a role with DoorDash, the allure lies in the flexibility of setting your own schedule. Dashers can choose to work whenever it suits them, n appealing side gig for many. However, earnings can be quite variable; during peak hours, the potential to earn more exists, but it can drop significantly during quieter times.
One major factor to consider is the expenses incurred while delivering, such as gas, vehicle maintenance, and insurance. These costs can eat into your profits, so it's essential to factor them into your overall earnings. According to feedback from current Dashers, some report that their earnings often do not meet their expectations after accounting for these expenses.
Customer service can also be a challenge, particularly during busy periods when support may be stretched thin. Many Dashers have noted that resolving issues can take time, which can be frustrating when you're trying to maximize your delivery income.
working as a Dasher can be a great way to earn extra cash with flexible hours, but it requires careful management of your time and expenses to make it worthwhile. If you thrive on flexibility and can adapt to fluctuating earnings, it might be a good fit for you.
