The attractive hourly wage positions UPS as a viable employer for those seeking immediate income. Yet, the physically demanding nature of the job may not suit everyone.
About this role
Join UPS as a Package Delivery Driver, responsible for safely delivering packages to residential and commercial customers while following a scheduled route.
Expert Review
This UPS delivery driver position with a competitive hourly rate of $45+. Unlike many entry-level jobs, it offers a clear career path within a respected company known for its logistics excellence. The role involves daily routes, which can provide a sense of stability, but it also demands physical endurance and time management skills.
Drivers must navigate various traffic conditions, which can be stressful, especially during peak seasons. The company emphasizes safety and provides training for new hires, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle the responsibilities of the job. However, the long hours and physical labor can be challenging for those unaccustomed to such demands.
Overall, while the pay is enticing, potential applicants should consider whether they can meet the physical and mental challenges of this role. As noted on UPS's official site, the job is structured to encourage a balance between work and life, but that balance may vary depending on delivery demands.
