Expert Review
Dashing with DoorDash can be a great way to earn money on your own schedule. The platform allows drivers to pick shifts that suit their availability, making it ideal for students and those with other commitments. However, potential drivers should consider that earnings can vary significantly based on demand and location.
For example, drivers in urban areas often see more consistent orders than those in rural settings.
The app interface is user-friendly and allowing drivers to track their earnings and manage their schedules easily. Yet, it's crucial to factor in vehicle expenses, as drivers are responsible for their own gas and maintenance. According to DoorDash's site, drivers can make between $15 to $25 per hour, including tips, but this can fluctuate based on various factors.
Customer support can be hit or miss, with some drivers reporting long wait times for assistance. For anyone seeking a full-time salary or guaranteed income, this role may not be suitable. It’s best suited for those who value flexibility and are okay with variable earnings.
if you’re looking for a side gig that allows you to choose when you work, DoorDash could be a good fit, but be prepared for the realities of gig work.
