Expert Review
The $50 per hour wage is competitive for housekeepers in New York City, n attractive option. However, the role demands exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Candidates should be prepared for a potentially high workload, which may not be suitable for everyone.
While the opportunity offers direct communication with the homeowner, this can also lead to increased expectations regarding performance and cleanliness. Those new to housekeeping might find the environment challenging, as the position likely requires prior experience in maintaining high standards.
In terms of job security, this role is more dependent on the homeowner's needs than a traditional employment structure. Therefore, applicants should consider their long-term career goals and whether they align with a position in a private household. According to Housekeeper.com, such roles often have fluctuating demands based on the homeowner's schedule, which could affect consistent hours.
